Australian Surfer Shoots Breaking Waves in Stunning Colors

Ryan Pernofski is an Australian surfing enthusiast and photographer. Since 2012 he’s shooting mesmerizing giant waves in motion. Previously he did this with professional photo equipment enclosed in underwater housing, but after some time chose iPhone for this purpose and shares lots of his photos and videos of waves on Instagram.

Pernofski loves to shoot breaking waves in the rising sun and has decided for the purpose of his project named Seasons to take one photograph each day, through every one of the four seasons. To shoot the really big waves, Pernofski stays underwater, holding his breath as long as he can, to capture the kaleidoscopic colors of the waves.

The surfer/photographer has published some of the frames shot in a 4-book set. You can check some of his best work below.
