]]> For Edgar Artis food can be fashionable, you just have to know how to make it a work of art. The Armenian artist uses edible things to create stylish women’s dresses.

He starts his process by drawing female models on a piece of paper. Then he clothes them using fruits, treats and other edible items. From apples and spaghetti, to chocolates and junk food, his designs are all delectably exquisite. He also creates dress designs out of non-edible things such as flowers, paper clips, pistachio shells, bolts and screws.

His love for fashion and artistic skills has gained him over 700k followers on Instagram and every photo he shares gets thousands of likes. Scroll down to see his latest creations.

“The Phoenix” This beautiful illustration i made using pastels, pearls, feathers, eggshells and mesh. The size is 140x100cm It was a pleasure to make this piece for @clarisse_agbegnenou Its story and what it stands for is one of my favorites. So here is the story! Quite a long time ago i have received a message from a girl saying. “ it is very inspiring to see girls of color as ballerinas and it would be great if you did more because i always wanted to be a ballerina and in my town i don’t get accepted in ballet school because of my skin color.” This message shocks me until now, i can’t understand how people can be this racist and stupid in this century. This art represents the power of faith and courage. Even if she is rejected she stands for what she believes in and as you can see she is in the darkness hitting her foot on the ground, dancing and spreading the light inside of her. What i want to say is never give up and never let people take your dreams away from you! We still have very far to go!

Thank you for being with me for one more year! I wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year. I’m thankful for this year. It was quite a tough one and a good one at the same time. It was an emotional year for me, but it made me even wiser i guess. My artworks became even more personal and they speak even more then before. I’m very grateful for having this platform that gives me voice and a chance to share my visions and what i stand for in a beautiful way. I’m hopeful that 2019 will bring more adventures to my life, and more success to my art. I’m happy that you guys are still supporting me, it means a lot. God Bless every one of you! Wishing you much love and happiness for the upcoming year.

Sweetness I remember making this illustration i asked my grandfather to bring me some honeycomb because he was keeping bees and he was very passionate about it, he brought me this piece so that i could make my illustration.. He passed away yesterday and i am sad i didn’t have the chance to say goodbye to him and to say that i love him a lot. Few days ago talked to him and the last thing he said after talking was “Au Revoir Edgar” i didn’t imagine it would happen so fast and these would be the last words.. He was the kindest, not a grumpy grandpa but so kind always smiling… Thanks for listening to me when i was talking about my feelings. Thanks for not being judgmental and for accepting us the way we are. I am blessed that i had you as my grandfather! You will always stay in my heart! You left me so many good memories! I will always remember you with your smile! Rest In Peace Grandpa. I love you so much! 💔
