]]>Herrera lives on a farm with his wife and four sons, and he’s no stranger to taking care of all sorts of different animals. Bruce was just three days old when Herrera adopted him, and he believes that the decision to bottle-feed him for the next 80 days helped Bruce develop his friendly nature.
Bruce moo-ed his way to stardom after Herrera decided to welcome him into his home, but it was always clear he was destined for great things. His owner told People that he had a personality from the start, and his curious and energetic nature inspired him to open the doors of his home to Bruce.
Herrera is happy to see how much laughter and joy his videos are bringing to people, but he’s only able to do this because he’s experienced with handling cattle and doesn’t recommend it to anyone else.
“I wouldn’t recommend a house cow. They’re just so big and kind of dangerous, like stepping on your feet and most of them aren’t friendly like Bruce and they’ll headbutt you like my other steer. They need to have room to graze and pasture and just to be happy,” he told 13 Wham ABC.
