]]> Embroidery tattoos are a major trend right now and people all over the world are deciding to get some faux stitching on their skin. Among the artists who embraced this trend is Fernanda Álvarez, a Mexican tattooist who sees this as a perfect opportunity to celebrate her cultural heritage.

“I always wanted to imprint Mexican culture in tattoos,” she told My Modern Met, “but also give a delicate personal touch, and I found all that in the colorful Mexican embroidery style.” We absolutely love how her works turn out; they’re so delicate yet strong, bursting with bright colors and pretty shapes.
