]]> Halloween is one of the most beloved holidays – kids get to dress up and trick-or-treat in their neighborhood and get plenty of candy, while adults make their own dress up parties too. Here are three similar holidays celebrated around the world. 

Dia De Los Muertos – Mexico 

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is celebrated in Mexico and parts of Latin America on 1st and 2nd November. On this day, they give honor to those who passed away and believe that on October 31 at midnight, the gates of heaven open up and the souls of children return to spend 24 hours with their families, while the souls of adults join the Earth on November 2nd.

Dia de los muertos: la festa dei morti in Messico 🇲🇽 Questa festa si tiene ogni anno nella notte tra la fine di ottobre e l’inizio di novembre, non è un giorno dedicato alla morte, ma una celebrazione della vita in un tripudio di suoni, profumi, colori, altari imbanditi con offerte e cibo e parate con i teschi. Samhain – Ireland and Scotland 

Samhain, or Samhuinn have roots from old Celtic and Pagan rituals from thousands of years ago. Ireland and Scotland celebrate this holiday with barmbrack, a traditional food-fruitcake filled with coins, rings and buttons to predict the future.

The Hungry Ghost Festival, Hong Kong 

It’s a celebration that goes on for about a month and starts around mid-August. This is a way to give food and money to the spirits for their afterlife.

One of their favorite activities is creating DIY costumes for Halloween.

The twins are only 3 years old, but they already have 3 amazing Halloweens behind them. They have all the time in the world to create many more creative costumes with their dads!
