“The simple act of placing stone upon stone in the sand is very therapeutic,” the artist tells My Modern Met. “I’m sure we all enjoy a walk on the beach but this process I find to be more immersive; being there in nature, losing myself in the work, having left behind all the stresses of day to day life.”

Foreman is located in Wales, where he has access to a big coastline. There are numerous beaches where he can go and do his thing. On average, he spends around four hours creating a single work. He starts by planning the next piece but still leaves room for finishing it spontaneously.
