]]>Horan has earned her BFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2003. Her work has been featured in many exhibitions around the US and Canada and in several books and publications. She lives and works in Austin, Texas.
Horan has completed “two painting residencies at The Vermont Studio Center and was a finalist for the 2015 Hunting Art Prize. She is also the illustrator of Literary Witches: A Celebration of Magical Women Writers, written by Taisia Kitaiskaia and published by Seal Press,” her website reveals.

MY GHOSTIE IS GONNA GITCHA! 
. I did this illustration of Pet Sematary (the original, not that travesty of a re-make) for @birthmoviesdeath a few years back. . . I have always loved Horror. When I was a kid, I was all about Tales From the Crypt and Vault of Horror comics, not to mention, the SEMINAL Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark trilogy (I believe those books actually helped shape my brain). In 5th grade I entered into a life partnership with Horror Movies and Pet Sematary was one of my absolute favorites. And even though I have many new favorites and although PS seems pretty cheesy now, I have to admit that I am still scared to death of Zelda (and I almost named my daughter after her). So all that to say, this was a very fun project for me! .
