She’s on a quest to overturn the way people look at latte art, and she describes herself as “a latte artist who creates a lot of happiness with a cup of latte” on her official website.
Runa is definitely succeeding in her mission to change the way people look at latte art since she’s one of the most successful latte artists in her home country of Japan. She appeared on several TV shows, collaborated with high-profile clients, and attracted over 90,000 followers to her Instagram page since embarking on this journey.
Runa’s latte creations usually take shape of beloved animated characters, that move in a cup when touched. Pokémon is her biggest source of inspiration, with her latte art taking shape of Pikachu, Snorlax, and Squirtle, but she’s no stranger to making lattes inspired by other movies, such as Minions and Disney classics.
