Canne has been drawing for as long as she can remember. She inherited the talent from her grandmother, who was a painter. Ever since she was a kid, she was mesmerized with her grandma’s work and would carry her sketchbook everywhere to work on her own art.

Today, Canne illustrates fictitious scenes. The scenes used to feature people, but they somehow disappeared over time. “They might come back, who knows,” the artist shares. She finds inspiration in mid-century architecture and the works of architects like Mies van der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Luis Barragan, and Marcel Breuer. “I don’t care about realistic perspectives, it’s one of the pros of illustration, you can do whatever you want,” she says.
