Ramirez kicked off this creative adventure in 2017, when she decided to combine her two hobbies into one—selling vintage jeans and art. She minored in history of art and architecture and stayed passionate about the subject after her graduation, which crucially impacted the way she adorns her jeans.
The California-based artist could’ve easily opted for any subject matter, but decided to go with famous works of art. She wanted to go down this road because she sees it as the perfect opportunity to educate her followers about each painting she picks.
She paid homage to such artists as Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, and Johannes Vermeer, and presented their paintings in a whole new light. Check out some more of the amazing denim pieces that she shared with over 50,000 followers on Instagram.

Let me introduce myself to anyone who has followed since my last re-introduction (it was awhileee ago!). – I’m Kessler! 
– I started painting jeans in 2017 for fun and haven’t stopped since! I got my Bachelors of Arts Psychology degree from UC Santa Barbara and also got a minor in Art History. That is why I paint all these paintings — I studied them in college (university)! 
– My 5 favorite things to do when I’m not painting: •
Go to the beach — when I lived in Southern California I’d go to the beach almost every day! I miss it so much. •
Take photos — photography is something I’ve always loved but never pursued as a career. •
Tending to my plants — I’m obsessed with plants and my room is filled! I keep growing even more from cuttings! •
Play with my cats! — It’s important for indoor cats to get exercise and stimulation, so we play for10-30 minutes every day! – Now, tell me something you like to do for fun!

– I was worried it would look cheap and shiny, but if you don’t add too much, it’s perfectly matte. I mix my paint color, then add some of the medium and mix that in. – What makes it better? – it makes the paint more elastic (no cracking on stretchy jeans) – more durable in the wash – will hold up better overtime Save this post for reference to come back to later!

– This pair was from my last collection release in November. It is sold already 
– This was one of the only pairs I have ever painted in a single night! I was rushing to get another pair done for the collection release and thought this would take me days. I somehow managed to finish it within 5-7 hours which is practically record time for me! – Is Girl with a Pearl Earring a painting you would want to see in my February collection release?
