Isabella Montan is a young art director from Parma, Italy. She has created an Instagram profile named Pantop in which she publishes posts on topics such as People/Animals/Nonsense/Things/Objects/Pieces of Life, all presented in single-color background.

The difference between her project, and many others that follow the same structure and design by presenting something in relation to its Pantone® color, is in the fact that Pantop relies on almost cult-like phrases, most often taken from popular culture and movies.

Here are some of the best that grabbed our attention.

Inspired by the mobile app Pantone Studio that can identify the colors of the color chart on any real-life object, an Instagrammer decided to place the Pantone references on her vacation spots. Based in San Francisco, Lucy Litman loves to contemplate the landscapes of her region and look for references of colors in the famous color chart that could blend in the decor.

From her native California to Denmark, via Sweden and the Californian deserts, the young woman places her Pantone cards on beautiful landscapes. Many of her shots are made in the United States but Lucy took advantage of her recent trip to Northern Europe to continue her series of overlay photographs. In Copenhagen, she spotted typical colorful facades, while in Stockholm, a rainbow metro station was also an opportunity to relaunch the color chart.

Combining colorful landscapes with Pantone colors looks like a concept that can be adapted forever.
