Artist Paul Kobriger began his drawing journey about four years ago. Before becoming an artist, the San Diego-based Kobriger had another passion; skateboarding. While working as a Marketing Director in a company called TransWorld SKATEboarding, he rediscovered his talent and love of drawing. Nowadays, he is a well-known artist who creates hyper-realistic portraits you could easily confuse for photographs.

This time, the artist talks about his favorite piece, a portrait of his biggest hero, Mr. Steve Caballero.

“I’ve made some decent drawings but decided I would put everything I have into this one to make it my best ever,” the artist wrote on Bored Panda. “25 hours into my first attempt, I had to abort. It was…imperfect. I started over at a slower pace and an even higher standard. 145 hours later and here is the finished piece of one of my biggest heroes (and great friend), skateboarding legend Mr. Steve Caballero.”

If you are curious to see more of his work, have a look on Instagram or on his website where you can buy some of his prints, as well.
