Tatsuya Tanaka is a Japanese designer and photographer specializing in miniature art. He became known with his Miniature Calendar, where he regularly shares his creations that divert everyday objects with singularity and creativity.

After gathering a strong following on social networks, signed a two-book contract and created the credits of the NHK series Hyokko, Tanaka now launches his new book Miniature Final Fantasy, the first official rendition of the Final Fantasy universe in miniature art. Miniature Final Fantasy was created for the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy and recreates an emblematic scene for each character of the Final Fantasy opus.

The artist says he thinks that it has happened to everyone to look at a broccoli or parsley and to say that it looks a bit like a tree forest, or the leaves floating on the water resembling of small boats. Everyday objects, if viewed from a miniature point of view, can be a source of a funny and very creative inspiration. This state of mind he tries — and pretty much succeeds — to transcribe into his photographs.
