Ulla-Stina Wikander from Sweden has been working as an artist since 1986. She collected cross stitch embroideries for more than 10 years and today, she already has a huge collection of over 100 various designs.  Although most of them are considered kitsch and worthless, the 61-year-old artist finds them really beautiful and wants to bring them back to life.

In 2012, she started dressing up vintage household items like a sewing machine, an electric mixer, and a vacuum cleaner, giving these old objects a new look, full of color and style.

Wikander visits flea markets and vintage stores for her art materials including vintage objects. It usually takes a day or two to finish small items like a telephone or iron and a week for those bigger ones.
