Artist Creates Dreamy 3D Scenes With Her Needle-Felted Animals

We already wrote about Rachel Austin, a textile artist from Gloucestershire who creates adorable felted animals, such as mice, birds, foxes, and pandas. In fact, Rachel has been needle felting for a few years now, and her lovely felted sculpture completely won us over.

However, the artist has been struggling for a while now to make good photos of her creations for social media. She bought a standard lightbox from Amazon, but was still unsuccessful in her attempts to make the photos she wanted.

Luckily, her creative daughter came to the rescue by coming up with a unique plan for solving this problem. She designed a special lightbox that allowed her mom to easily create dreamy scenes for her felted animals.

“My daughter, who is studying A level DT, is always coming up with amazing product ideas and designs. She came up with an idea of a design for a unique lightbox, which would not only let in a lot more light but also allow for easy, changeable scene building/assembling,” the artist told Bored Panda.
