Artist Makes Illustrations About Her DPDR Disorder

Lulu is a 26-year-old artist from Switzerland who makes comics to deal with her DPDR-depersonalization/derealisation disorder. Also known as planetmclulu on Instagram, the illustrator has been suffering from DPDR over 3 years now, which can be a diagnosis on its own, or be a symptom of another mental disorder like for example anxiety.

“For me, DPDR is a 24/7 thing,” Lulu shared.  “For the first year, I suffered in silence and was unable to do anything. People who don’t have this disorder often just don’t understand. So I made these comics for all of you who suffer from it, or maybe feel strange and can’t explain why, and for friends and family members who don’t have it to get a better understanding.”
