Artist Bradley Theodore lives in Miami where he creates these bright and vibrant skeletons that represent abstract portraits of various celebrities. The usage of color is the celebration of his roots in Turks and Caicos and the subjects are inspired by fashion icons.
The fact that they’re shown as skeletons doesn’t mean anything morbid. “A skull for me represents a symbol of a person’s spirit. It’s like I’m wrapping someone’s soul around their skeletal system,” the artist explained in the documentary Becoming: Bradley Theodore.
