Cydsline is Saving Old Jeans From Landfills & Turning Them Into Bags

Sustainable fashion has been on the rise for quite some time, and the eco-friendly brand Cydsline will make you fall in love with it all over again. Its founder Cyd is committed to breathing a new life into old jeans by saving them from landfills and transforming them into chic bags.

Cyd has been on quite a journey since she first launched her eco-friendly brand in 2020, and she saved 3,000 pairs of jeans from landfills in the years to come. Since at least a million pairs of jeans are thrown away every year, she wanted to create a brand that’s part of a solution, not the problem, and Cydsline was born out of her desire to reduce waste created by fast-fashion brands.

“There are enough clothes already made on this planet to clothe the next six generations. Here at Cydsline, we see the potential in the pre-loved, transforming recycled denim into unique accessories to last a lifetime,” she writes on her Instagram.

Cyd decided to work with denim because she thinks it’s an amazing material to upcycle and give a second life to. Her creations usually take the shape of handbags, made from different types of denim, and she enjoys reusing everything from material to labels to make sure no part of old jeans goes to waste.
