Emily Henegar has been making cookies for as long as she can remember, and she has come a long way since selling them around her neighborhood. Her delicious creations are now mostly inspired by her favorite musicians, and some of them even got a chance to try them in person.
Henegar was just eleven when she decided to start selling cookies under the moniker Cookie in the Kitchen, which she still uses today. Her sister helped her design her first logo, and she received more than a dozen orders after handing her business cards around the neighborhood.
She’s been baking through middle school, high school, and college, where she studied entrepreneurship and graphic design, determined to start her own business. She’s now dreaming about opening her own bakery, since decorating cookies and illustrating unique lives in an edible art form remains her favorite part of this whole ordeal.
Henegar has come a long way since baking regular “drop cookies” for her neighbors, and she found viral fame with her elaborate designs. Her cookies are now mostly inspired by her favorite musicians, such as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sabrina Carpenter. She even got a chance to deliver them in person to many of her favorite stars, including Chappell Roan, Reneé Rapp, and Em Beihold.
