French Artist Makes Incredibly Detailed Insect Sculptures Out of Scrap Metal

French artist Edouard Martinet developed a fascination with a world of insects since a young age and continues to be amazed by it today. The only difference is that he was only motivated by curiosity in the past, and now insects are an inspiration for some of his most recognizable creations.

Martinet made a name for himself thanks to highly detailed insect sculptures that are made out of scrap metal and other second-hand parts. In his works, forks, typewriters keys, umbrella ribs, and bike chains get transformed into wasps, bees, beetles, and all sorts of other tiny (and big) bugs,

The amazing part of his work is that he manages to make each part of the sculpture perfectly fit together without making a single change to it. According to the artist himself, he never “forces a fit” and only screws parts together intervening with a small bend here and there.
