Creating dresses from scratch may sound like a hard job, but it’s actually even harder than one could imagine! Not only do you have start with a pencil to work out the sketch, but then you also carefully craft every single inch of the dress by hand until it satisfies your perfectionism.
This is what Sylvie Facon does for a living and so far she’s come up with some of the most impressive dress designs that we’ve seen on the internet. Sylvie masterfully designs unique and original dresses created from her own concepts, but she’s also a stylist and a painter too! As many other quality fashion creators, she comes from France, more specifically Arras. The French style is reflected in her designs but she also puts in a lot of soul in them. She creates with vibrant colours but also with more grounded tones such as brown, dark green and black. Additionally, she also creates steampunk dresses and mixes old and new styles, combining materials such as lace, mother-of-pearl spheres, embroidery and even straw!
