How many of you have seen a chicken and thought “Wow, what a beautiful bird”? Well, not many probably. But after taking a glimpse at this stunning photo series, you’ll say exactly that and even have a hard time choosing your favorite!
Ch!cken is a photo project created by the Italian photographers Moreno Monti and Matteo Tranchellini in order to display the underrated beauty of these amazing birds. It all started unexpectedly when Matteo Tranchellini was looking for a pet that would enjoy his studio garden in Milan. After visiting an aviary exhibition, he was enchanted by the beauty of chickens and found his new lovely pet Jessicah, a Concincina hen. Not being able to stay indifferent to their outlandish looks, he called up his fellow photographer Monti and together with him decided to create an amazing photo series that celebrates the unsung beauty of the world’s chickens.
The photographer duo says the chickens were amazing to work with and that they’re natural-born posers. They also add that none of the pretty creatures photographed were harmed in any way in the process.
