Working as a UPS driver can have its perks, and Jason Hardesty managed to find incredible joy while doing this job. He became a viral sensation after starting to take adorable photos with local dogs while delivering packages in his local area.
Hardesty is a UPS driver based in New Orleans, whose job suddenly became much more interesting once he was moved to a younger neighborhood. He started running into many friendly pets who couldn’t wait to greet him, and he wanted to commit their encounters to memory.
He took a selfie with one of the local dogs while delivering parcels, and the photo quickly blew up on social media. After seeing how much people enjoyed it, Hardesty decided to keep taking more photos, and the dog owners didn’t seem to mind it one bit – and neither did his bosses.
“I’ve always tried to be very humble about it because I understand the attention it brings and I’ve always been a hard-working guy so management has never had any problems with it as long as I get the work done,” he told Bored Panda.
Hardesty met many animals on the job, from pigs to chickens, but dogs remain his favorites, especially rescues because he has huge respect for people who give dogs a second chance.
