The 100 layers challenge is a social media trend that started spreading a couple of years ago and has never stopped. The rules are simple – you take something – nail polish, hoodies, hair extensions – and see what happens if you use one hundred layers of that thing at the same time. How would 100 layers of nail polish look on your nails? What would a 100-layer lasagna taste like?
It’s a silly little challenge, but it is also a great way to examine the world around us. We can learn a lot from the way our belongings affect us by seeing them in new and unusual ways – and there’s no doubt that putting on 100 layers of anything is pretty unusual!
