Sabine Timm Gives a New Face to Food, Trash and Everyday Objects

Artist Sabine Timm likes to play with her food and makes figures of sandwiches. To make a cartoon character from bread, very little is needed. With not much more than some slices of cheese, some rye bread and a handful of olives, she has come a long way. In some cases, baguettes, crackers, chives, and fruit are also used.

At the same time, the artist tries to bring new life into glass bottles, broken crockery, old brushes, plastic tubes, or even a sofa. Her fertile imagination takes these raw materials she encounters by chance and everyday objects and helps her create small sculptures, scenarios and peculiar characters from them, constructed with humor, delicacy, and detail.
