Pablo Savon Turns Graffiti from Parisian Streets into Ceramics

Street art is on the rise and the number of people who look at it as if it’s vandalism is getting lower every day. French ceramicist Pablo Savon had an interesting idea about contributing to graffiti culture from his own angle.

He went around Paris and updated a number of graffiti with ceramics, simply copying the design and attaching it over the original graffiti. After he noticed that the other graffitis were being removed while his work remained intact, he started wondering:

“Can ceramics, by its nature, alter our concept of vandalism? How is it that a simple change of material can modify our perception of this act?”

Those are valid questions that have yet to be answered. In the meantime, see his work below.
