Oftentimes, the act of kindness isn’t measured in grandiose gestures. Sometimes, a meaningful note is all it takes to show someone you care. And if that note is attached to a cheerful greeting card, all the better. Sisters Eunice James and Sabrina Moyle joined forces to help us spread the love.
Their letterpress and greeting-cards brand Hello!Lucky uses creativity to amplify human kindness, with the aid of tongue in cheek puns and playful illustrations. Aside from their greeting cards, their award-winning design studio produces anything from best-selling children’s books to bedding, ceramics, and even socks.
“We are both very creative and visually minded,” James shared in an interview with Say Yes, where she described the sisters’ division of labor. “I have the design and illustration skills, but Sabrina is also a great art director and has a really good sense of design,” she noted. “Sabrina is, however, way more left brained than I am – she’s good with numbers and strategic planning and that kind of thing.”
Their brand also gives back to the community, so you know your money’s in good hands. Amongst other activities, the sisters have co-founded the non-profit Write_On Campaign with Egg Press, created protest posters for the Women’s March on Washington, and sold cause pins that have raised over $20K for various charities.
But back to the greeting cards.
