]]> There are times when all of us would like to wake up as somebody else, at least for a day. It could be a movie or comic book character, a top athlete, famous artist or just the next-door neighbor who seems to have it all. Well, there are some people who are living this dream of being whoever they want, whenever they want, and as long as they want, and they are called cosplayers.  

Cosplaying is a popular performance art in which participants wear costumes and fashion accessories to present a certain character. In case you didn’t know, professional cosplaying is a thing! And it’s more than pure fun, as it requires skills, practice, time, effort and creative problem-solving. 

AlysonΒ Tabbitha from Florida is a professional cosplayer with extraordinary skills for costuming and make-up. She has been cosplaying since 2014, and her success, as well as her awesome tutorials, have inspired many others to try themselves out in this difficult art. Alyson has 1 million followers on Instagram so far, and this number is a reflection of the quality of her work, which features anyone from Lara Croft to the Joker.Β

My Lara Croft #TombRaider Cosplay! πŸŒ„ . I just posted a video tutorial for this Makeup, & Costume on my YTchannel! β–ΆπŸ–₯ . I love having costumes I don't have to wear wigs for or that aren't super uncomfortable! It's great to wear at cons when your body is tired from wearing other costumes all weekend, or when it's hot outside! (Which it always is here in FL! πŸ˜‚) It's also so much fun to be any of the iconic characters you love without feeling pressure & limiting yourself to only making "harder to make", or "big flashy" costumes! Though I still put lots of effort into even more "simple" costumes! 😁 No right or wrong way to cosplay, be as extra or chill as you want! I am well aware my music video cosplays are not my most popular πŸ˜† but I don't care cause music is such a big part of my life & was my biggest artistic inspiration (along with movies) during adolescence. I have a longggg list of music video cosplays I plan to do, & will keep making them because they are so much fun! 😁 . Yeah, it's really cool when a lot of people recognize who you're being at a con/online but to me what's also really cool is dressing up as a character that is special to you no matter how little/or/many other people know who you are! It always makes me all giggly and fell warm & fuzzy inside 😊 (swipe to see it in action πŸ˜‚) . Remember friends, #cosplay isn't a popularity or look alike contest. Just cosplay in a way that brings you the most joy! I love being able to dress up as the characters I love to the best of my own abilities.
