swipe to see my version of heaven, aka the magazine store @colbie_cassidy insisted we go to for an instagram (and I fell in love). there’s just something so aesthetically pleasing about organized magazines..Katy works in the fashion industry, or, more specifically, she’s a beauty influencer and a Social Media and Digital Content Coordinator for L’Oréal Paris. She also has a blog and a podcast, if that’s not busy enough.
Katy always knew she wanted to work in fashion when she grew up, but she could have never guessed she’d find opportunities like she did, simply because they didn’t exist until a short while ago. Social media was still in its early days when Katy started high school and that’s how she started. She uploaded her first video to Youtube at the age of 14.
It was all very new and exciting, and there was room to experiment and try out new things. Today, thanks to those firs videos, she’s a bonafide trendsetter. Her fashion choices become the next big thing in fashion, so good thing she’s good at what she does because we owe a few of our favorite trends to her.

Running my own design business comes with a slew of pro’s and con’s, but for the most part I’m pinching myself on the daily, remembering how lucky I am to do what I do. 21-year-old Bretman Rock is super active in the LGBTQ community and he’s an advocate for saving the turtles. He also happens to be one of Nike LA’s ambassadors, he made it on the cover of Gay Times‘ Pride Month Issue in June, and he attended New York Fashion Week for the first time this year.
He has over 13 million Instagram followers and we predict that number will increase very soon, with his recent recognition. Bretman is also known for staying clear of the drama, which other beauty influencers have become known for.
During an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine in October, when he was asked which celebrity he would like to do a beauty tutorial with he confessed to being a massive Britney fan; “I feel like it’d be so fun to, like, do, like, Britney Spears’ makeup. I’ve always been a big fan of Miss Britney—I’m a Britney stan. My email is actually inspired by her. I just kinda want to tell her that she’s really my childhood hero and she’s so f***ing funny to me.”
