White Nike shoes, turtlenecks, Freddie Mercury mustache, the sometimes too short, short shorts, the dark glasses, the grey sweaters and a whole lot of chest hair were all the ‘must haves’ according to our dad’s fashion sense.

If so far you got the image in your head and a tiny smile on your face, we give you the Instagram account ‘Old School Dads’, and the profile is everything you imagined and more.

This account looks like a monument dedicated to the memory of what your typical dad looked in the 80’s and early 90’s. This is not a professional account where models are dressed up, but raw and real, vintage photographs which the creator found or was sent to.

Nostalgia, memories, laughs and questions like: ‘Omg, was this actually safe?’ will follow you as you scroll the old school dads’ profile which already has a high number of posts and followers, as the material never seems to stop!

Simon Hooper, aka Father of Daughters, became an Instagram star by showing the reality of parenthood. He chronicles his daily life and challenges of being a father to four young girls.

With almost a million followers on Instagram, Hooper shares his daily stories with his girls with a big scoop of humor and without the usual sugarcoating of “perfect parenthood.” As Hooper describes it, he is forever outnumbered by the women in his life, being the only male in the family. But he wouldn’t change a thing in his life because they are his life.

His book, Dad Life, is about his journey into parenthood, from being “a 24 year old man-child with no idea of what being a dad involved, to where I find myself today.”

“From uninitiated parents-to-be to those who know the ropes in families large or small, everyone will find something to relate to in Simon’s hilarious and chaotic tales of his own home life. His observations of being a father have delighted his hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram.”
