]]>Martinet made a name for himself thanks to highly detailed insect sculptures that are made out of scrap metal and other second-hand parts. In his works, forks, typewriters keys, umbrella ribs, and bike chains get transformed into wasps, bees, beetles, and all sorts of other tiny (and big) bugs,
The amazing part of his work is that he manages to make each part of the sculpture perfectly fit together without making a single change to it. According to the artist himself, he never “forces a fit” and only screws parts together intervening with a small bend here and there.
