]]>Gurney says she’s always been interested in creating art and she previously worked in graphic design and printmaking. However, once she discovered the art of creating needle-felted creatures she instantly fell in love with it, and knew she had to give this a try.
“I started by creating my favorite subject: my dog. It grew from making my friends’ pets to selling them all over the world,” the artist told Bored Panda.
What started out as a hobby turned into a great business idea and the artist says she never expected the demand for her felted animals would be so high.
“I currently have a 3-month-long waiting list that continues to grow! I release a set number of slots every month and they sell out within 3 minutes. After all, our pets are our most cherished friends, and it’s such an honor to craft each one.”
