]]>Luckily, we now can see what Marvel, DC, and other comic-book makers keep hidden thanks to Lucas Nascimento. This Brazilian artist, also known as Dragonarte, creates amusing and often hilarious illustrations that show the everyday side of superhero life.
With their light-hearted humor and familiar characters, Nascimento’s works are quite popular among social media users. He has more than 100K fans on Facebook, while his Instagram following has surpassed 215K users.
Nascimento’s works don’t feature dialog and instead rely on art to tell the story. The main reason for this, according to the artist, is his intention to create stories that people from around the world can understand. He also uses popular characters and doesn’t shy away from bringing together superheroes from different franchises.

But more often than not, the simpler the message is, the harder it is to arrive at it, and Alcala admits that his creative process requires time and patience.
“It might not look like it because my illustrations tend to be pretty simple, but the most simple drawing could have hundreds of sketches beforehand,” he says. “A lot of it is just boiling down ideas until the drawings are totally efficient.”
With clients like Apple, Nike, and The New Yorker, as well as thousands of followers online, we’re pretty sure his messages come through loud and clear.

]]>“In my mind, I don’t really picture them as scary, but more as cute, playful little entities. I love to imagine ghosts getting themselves caught up in silly situations, or think of how their traditional white sheets can be used in different funny ways. Not to mention coming up with ghost-related puns, which is one of my most boo-loved pass-time activities,” the artist wrote on Bored Panda and added that they are one of his favorite things to draw.
