But back to mythology, Hsiung admits that it wasn’t really until he got settled in LA that he rekindles his passion for anything fantasy related. “I’d start printing out tomes of stuff from the internet of unicorns, krakens, centaurs,” he told Another Fine Mess. “Naturally, when I started drawing I gravitated towards trying to incorporate these influences, passions, and interests into some of my stuff, which eventually lead to centaurs, satyrs, and mermen,” he notes.

“Generally speaking, I use the internet as it relates to art-making mainly for research and stuff like that,” he further relayed. “Sometimes I’ll find images to reference or just research some articles I’ve read, which usually leads me to other interesting finds. Sometimes I’ll compile image folders of things I just basically find interesting. I may use them in drawings or I may never have any use for them.”

While doing your hair might look fun, it does take a long time. So, this young artist decided to take the lemons life gives her and turn her hair into art.  

Laetitia Ky is 22-year-old girl from the Ivory Coast and she uses her hair as a medium to express her ideas and beliefs. 

She makes animals, random objects and everyday items using needles, wire, wool and hair extensions.  

Proud of her African heritage, she makes sure that she shows it in her art on her famous Instagram page. When you look at her pictures it’s not just the amazing work she does with her hair, but also her clothes, her make-up and the background.  

Every single art piece takes anywhere from twenty minutes to two hours to make and the entire piece takes well over those numbers.  

So, ladies, next time you think you have a bad hair day, take Laetitia as an inspiration and turn your hair into something magical.
