]]>Pop culture and its characters have also been a great source of inspiration for Samet Turkan. This Istanbul-based art student creates pencil drawings of all your favorite iconic pop culture characters, and saying they’re impressive would be an understatement.
What makes Turkan’s works so great is the fact that he pays a lot of attention to the details. This makes the final result so close to the source that you’d think it’s a sketch of an original.
Turkan shares his drawings on his Instagram profile where he already amassed over 100,00 followers. Each of his works is posted in the same frame as the reference, enabling you to compare the two.
In a recent chat with Bored Panda, Turkan revealed that he came up with the idea of sharing his works online after receiving praise from his teachers and friends. The internet loved it, and the positive reaction prompted him to start producing content on a regular basis.
Check out more of Turkan’s works below.

That’s why I opted for (a) less damaged look and also added some assets to each of the characters,” This is Colossal quoted the artist.
Scroll down to see how Hodas made the sculptures. He used a bunch of programs like Cinema 4D, Zbrush, 3D Coat, and more to create each of them and we can really see that he put a lot of effort into this collection.

]]>This, as we said, was a couple of years ago. Indra had an idea in mind of what she wanted the wall to look like by the end of the project, but quickly, things got out of hand. In addition to the mural, Indra started visiting thrift shops and Harry Potter memorabilia shops to find accessories that would complement the newly painted wall. She found an old battered chest, Hogwarts-themed bed sheets, a tiny snitch. She couldn’t stop purchasing new additions for her daughter’s room.
Then she decided to paint some more. What started as a single wall, and a short-term project just kept growing as Indra kept adding details and spilling over to the other walls. Today, there isn’t a single corner in the room that isn’t wholly dedicated to Harry Potter. It has completed its transformation into Hogwarts.

]]>Embroidered paths, tablecloths, bedspreads, pillowcases, as well as clothes, national costumes, and party clothes, have always been an important part of the Ukrainians’ way of life. In the past, women have been preparing embroidered objects for their weddings. They had to offer an embroidered shirt and towel to their fiancees. The traditional costumes, feminine and masculine, were real masterpieces.
The Kiev-located OLK manufactory has created a series of carpets with traditional motifs dedicated to pop-culture. From Pikachu to Yoda via Homer Simpson, traditional embroidery meets some fictional heroes of our time. OLK carpets and fashion accessories such as bags are embroidered in a traditional way. It offers an interesting and funny look at the current pop-culture.
