The Wooden Animals of Jeffro Uitto

This artist creates beautiful wooden sculptures from twigs, tree branches and abandoned roots on the shores of Tokeland, Washington. And the result is really impressive!

Called Knock on Wood, Jeffro Uitto’s project embodies a beautiful eco-responsible approach. It only uses wood found on the shores of Tokeland, the shores of Smith Creek or the valleys and hills of Willapa. He offers a second life to the abandoned raw materials and even goes as far as creating its own tools from this same wood.

The result is as rich as it is amazing: every item that comes out of the artist’s studio is a totally unique piece. Jeffro goes even further by realizing directly in nature his creations like this magnificent prancing horse on the beach of Hawaii or this majestic eagle in Alaska.
