This Paper Artist Created a Unique International Calendar

Paper artist Marina Adamova created a project where together with 18 calligraphy and lettering artist from all around the world made an Almanac aka Calendar. According to the artist, who is also known as talamaskanka on social media, her main goal was to “show the uniqueness and beauty of each culture through its writing.”

“The main goal of the project was to show the uniqueness and beauty of each culture through its writing and to highlight that visual art is a special language that can unite many people, it is beyond borders, beyond time and politics,” she shared with Bored Panda.

The work was done by 12 calligraphers who made a calligraphy composition for the name of the month in his or her native language like Arabic, Siamese, Korean, Chinese, Tibetan, Georgian, Kirillic, Latin etc., whilst six lettering artist made four openers in English, representing the name of the season, and two project covers in English and Russian, which Adamova later recreated in paper form.
