We all know what screwdrivers are used for, or gloves, or vases. But what happens when you merge these objects with something else? A duo of artists combine everyday objects in the most unusual way that will spin your head and make you look twice in disbelief. Stephan Friedli and Ulrik Martin Lasrsen are Copenhagen-based artists who created PUTPUT in 2011 – a visual and conceptual meeting of two minds, collaboration in thought and practice, as they say.
This artistic duo that likes to play with the mind is fascinated with metaphysical relationships between everyday objects, so they created a photo series that shows the brilliance of the combinations. By combining recognizable objects in most unimaginable ways, they manage to transform the ordinary into extraordinary and challenge our perception. Through their artwork, they strive to challenge the viewer to look deeper and maybe discover something new and unexpected. This talented duo has had many solo exhibitions, but has also been a part of photography festivals and group exhibitions in Sweden, France, Canada, Great Britain and many more countries, as well as publications from all around the world.
