Acquerelli Quacquerelli is the pseudonym for Italian illustrator named Vanessa who describes her love for art as a refuge from the ‘real world.’ She also loves flowers, and her favorite colors are teal green or dusty pink, which she uses quite often in her art pieces.
Growing up, Vanessa dreamed about becoming a Disney animator, and although, she has been drawing her entire life, that plan didn’t work out. Instead, she opened an Instagram account with her drawings, and she says the feedback was remarkable.
“I like pastel colors and florals; I usually start drawing inspired by a ‘mood’ and then I try to translate that into shapes and colors. I mainly draw female figures like nymphs surrounded by leaves and little flowers, but not in a realistic way. I like to describe my illustration as dreamy and colorful,” the artist shared in an interview for Ballpit and added that she prefers digital illustration, mainly because she can fix mistakes easily, although she likes watercolor, as well.
