Artist Lindsay Rapp began
painting when she was only four years old. Her dad, who was a recreational
surfer, passed down his love of water to her. Since then she has been always
pulled towards the sea. In 2015 she opened her first studio gallery in Old
City, Philadelphia.
“During my time in the city, much
of my inspiration came from dreams and memories of the beach in Florida and
California as well as my travels around the world to different bodies of
water,” Rapp shared on her personal website. “Philadelphia had inspired my art
by strengthening my identity and connection to the ocean as my home.”
While she was traveling and
exploring different bodies of water she started doing charity for the ocean.
“During my travels to different
bodies of water, I felt driven to create artwork to raise awareness and funds
to help conserve the ocean and its marine life.”
