Artist Uses Illustrations to Show Society’s Problems

They say that the pen is mightier than the sword, and while that mostly refers to how words can sometimes drive the point home better than violence, it can also apply to how illustrations can help show things better than violence can.

Professional illustrator Daniel Garcia has used his years of experience creating illustrations to try and raise awareness for political, social, and human issues. However, previously, he’s always worked and collaborated with other publications and companies.

Now, he’s decided to collect some of his finest works to show some of society’s most prevalent and biggest issues.

Drawing and inking by hand while using a tablet to color them, Daniel says that it takes him around 1-3 days to finish each one, depending on the complexity of the image.

In a world where it’s so easy to turn a blind eye for something that’s not happening directly to you and affecting your daily life, Daniel’s works are a breath of fresh air and a constant reminder that all of us should be doing something for the greater good.
