Beautiful Flat Lay Patterns by Kristen Meyer

It is always wonderful to look at artists who sort and organize things into a beautiful whole. This is what is called Flat Lay, and this is a popular way to photograph objects. Especially on Instagram it is a big trend. The principle consists of arranging matching objects on a flat surface. Photographer Kristen Meyer does this in a very special way, by putting them in a beautiful geometric shape, often using the negative space.

In daily life, Meyer is a prop stylist and designer. As a result, she has developed a keen eye for detail and knows how to make something beautiful from the most simple and everyday things. Normally, a Flay Layer shows objects that a company is trying to sell but Meyer gives the trend an artistic twist. Moreover, she also destroys stuff to make the perfect photo. These often are just things that you and almost everyone has in the kitchen cabinet.
