These Paper Works Represent Birds With Impressive Realism

Two Indian artists, Nayan Shrimali and Vaishali Chudasama embarked on January 1 2018 on a a little crazy project: to publish each day of the year a miniaturized reproduction of a bird of their choice.

These nature lovers do not save their time: each of these small replicas (they are sometimes less than two centimeters) requires between 4 and 6 hours of work. Anyway, the result is amazing by its precision and realism.

At first Nayan and Vaishali planned to create only one piece of miniature art per day for a month, but after the overwhelming response in the first days of the project, they decided to extend it to a full year. And we’re incredibly happy they did!

You can see some of their greatest achievements below.

SAVE NATURE SAVE WORLD . . The bee hummingbird is the smallest living bird. Females weigh 2.6 g (0.092 oz) and are 6.1 cm (2.4 in) long, and are slightly larger than males, with an average weight of 1.95 g (0.069 oz) and length of 5.5 cm (2.2 in). As its name suggests, it is scarcely larger than a bee.
