Bready Shoes By Na Kim and June Park

Creativity has no limits, and the two creative minds behind the Panolo Blahnik project, Na Kim and June Park, are proving this. These two ladies work as book cover designers at the New York publishing house Farrar, Straus and Giroux, but in their free time, this duo creates adorable and elegant shoes made of bread.

Kim and Park use baguettes, crusty rolls, and all sorts of pastries to create these one of a kind shoes. The idea for this project came unexpectedly, during a casual lunch in September.

“We were having lunch one day in September, and Na noticed that one of the free breadsticks that came with our soups resembled a shoe. That was the start,” Park said in an interview with It’s Nice That. The only thing left was to come up with a name for the project – and the choice landed on Panolo Blahnik.

“The name needed to be as ridiculous as the idea, so we just decided to lean into it,“ says Kim.
