Carine Arnakis is a Romanian artist behind these gorgeous portraits of women. She creates her illustrations using patterns and often plays with the surroundings, matching her subjects’ outfits to the world around them. They either blend into the background or stand out with contrasting colors.
Arnakis used to focus on folk art and has always been into patterns and colors. Her formal education includes the Fine Art High School, and the Faculty of Arts and Design, where she got a Master’s degree in Advertising Art and Book Illustration.
