Check Out Plamondon’s Okay Comics For Okay People

Plamondon is a Canadian webcomic artist and illustrator who has been living in the Philippines for the last few years. This year, she decided to return to Canada with her husband and she’s trying to make art a full-time job. The series Ah, Mince! has already caught the hearts of around 100k followers on Instagram. In collaboration with Temili, she also launched an Internet store where she sells designed clothing that is eco-friendly, sustainable and high-quality. Plamondon’s work can also be found on Facebook and Youtube.

This artist is not all about rainbows and butterflies. Her art problematizes serious topics, but with humor and lightness. Most of the comics she makes depict some everyday situations that she and her husband go through that are highly relatable and described with sassy, black humor. Some of them depict just girls’ problems, while others address relationship issues and joke with societal and moral problems, like those that occur in family life, or deal with environmental issues and their relationship with consumerism and global behavioral trends.

Besides posting comics on Instagram and Facebook, she and her husband do Q&A sessions on YouTube that are fun and witty, and a lot of their fans like it. Check them out!
