Kamila Majcher is a Berlin-based artist and the creator of a project called Very Ugly Plates. In her work, she gives a new life to these second hand items, they are all wall plates that are “serving humor.”
“Almost every single item is inspired by a real-life story,” the artist shared on Bored Panda. “Some are drawn from the frivolous antics of my best friend, who also happens to act as the editor-in-chief for a selection of my favorite plate captions. Others are often prompted by overheard gossip, urban observations, or simply my state of mind at the time. As it turns out, my most inspiring emotional state is that of disappointment.”
She shares images of her creations onto her Instagram page, and on her personal website. You can also purchase the plates in her webshop and in stores like Mini Cult Bistro based in Berlin, and Lovendahlcp in Copenhagen.
