How much do we really know about sharks—those creepy creatures that lurk in deep, dark waters? The Life of Sharks is a funny, yet informative webcomic about sharks created by writer Christian Talbot and illustrator Sophie Hodge.
Their funny comics feature hilarious scenes from the life of sharks, but they’re also based on real facts.
“Mostly our comic is about the minutiae of everyday life, relationships, and emotions. We thought it would be funny to put those things into the mouths of fish that are perceived to be cold-hearted killers,” Talbot told Bored Panda.
The ideas for these comics come from everywhere— the Internet, news, or random situations that come to their mind in the most unexpected moments. Christian’s job is to do all the research and Sophie then illustrates those ideas on paper.
“The more I learn about Sharks, the weirder, and more appealing, we find them. A lot of marine biologists follow us now, and they appreciate the niche jokes about plankton,” Talbot added.
