Chef David Rivillo Creates Unique Pasta Art

For us foodies, pasta dishes are works of art, and chefs are artists. Just looking at spaghetti and meatballs or pasta Carbonara feels like observing art; only more satisfying because you get to eat it. However, if you want to truly experience pasta art, then you need to check out the works of David Rivillo.

Rivillo is a professional chef who turns pasta into art but doesn’t like to call himself an artist. Instead, he refers to himself as a pasta designer. And the designers he creates are simply too beautiful to eat.

Rivillo’s creations are unlike any other pasta you’ve seen. They feature combinations of vibrant colors, complex patterns, and satisfying shapes that seem like they just popped from an abstract painting.

According to one of his recent interviews, Rivillo started working with fresh pasta in 2016 during his culinary studies. He fell in love with the process and decided to buy his first pasta machine shortly after.

“I never bought pasta again in the supermarket,” he explained.

After some experimentation, Rivillo realized he has many ideas for pasta designs and started to share them on social media. His pasta art became quite popular on Instagram, where he shares his latest creations and offers custom made pasta art. Check out more of his works below.
