Tess Smith-Roberts is a talented illustrator from the UK who’s currently attending her final year at Kingston School of Art. We love her illustrations for their character and the colors she uses. Speaking for It’s Nice That, she described the art she’s making: “I try to approach my work with humor, bold shapes, and playful use of color. Everything is usually really bright with a stupid little smiley on it. Lately, I’m also really into adding stars to everything.”
Smith-Roberts challenges herself by using a limited color palette and trying to make the most out of it. She uses both digital and analogue techniques, but prefers “to have a physical object to hold rather than it being stuck on the screen.”
You can see her illustrations below as well on her Instagram profile, that currently has over 60k followers. Check out why!
